Rye Public Library Strategic Planning Visioning Session 2011  

Building on the existing Town of Rye Master Plan, the Rye Public Library Strategic Planning Committee worked in conjunction with consultants Opus Advisors to design a public Visioning Session to engage the community toward refreshing the existing visioning statements from the Rye Master Plan, and then distill those wider-angle observations through the filters of role and mission of the Rye Public Library to help establish goals and objectives for our three year plan.  By building on the existing Town of Rye Master Plan, that important work is taken into the Rye Public Library planning process and provides important context as roles for the Library are established in helping address the Master Plan’s vision as goals for the Library’s future directions are developed.

The Rye Public Library Strategic Planning Committee continues to refine these broad community based results into specific Library related goals and activities which will strive to help Rye reach the wider goals set forth in the Town of Rye Master Plan as considered in our Visioning Session .
