Learn the basics of creating a slideshow to enhance your spoken presentations. Choose from many designer templates, add titles, bullet points, clip art, audio and video clips, and more. Basic computer skills are assumed. Bring your own laptop or use one of the library’s.
Thursday, April 21, 5:00 PM. In this Introduction to Facebook, we will create a personal Facebook page and set our account and privacy settings. Please be prepared with the web address, account name, and password of your web-accessible email account. If you do not have an email account that can be opened and read from a web browser, please arrange to come to the library between noon and 5:00 PM, and we’ll set you up with an account. An introduction to Windows 7, the new operating system from Microsoft. If you are an experienced Windows XP or Windows Vista user, you will have already noticed that the look and feel of Windows 7 is a little different from what you are used to, but all your favorite functions are still here, plus a few extras. If you are a new computer user, or if you are new to the Windows environment, we will review some basic functions that all operating systems perform, such as opening and saving files, and organizing your documents and photos.
Formatting spreadsheets and individual cells. Making charts and graphs. Basic keyboard and mouse skills, and basic understanding of Windows terminology will be assumed.
