New!chess Chess Club!  Meets the third Wednesday of the month from 3:15 – 5:15PM.
The first session will be September 16th.

From 3:15 – 4:15 will be a free play time. You can learn more from experts, the UNH Chess Team, who will be here from 4:15 – 5:15. They will present fun chess activities and teach kids how to play.

Geek Club!

geek clubCalling all Potterites, WhoLockians, Ringers, Sherlockians, Trekkies, Star Warriors, Marvelites, Whedonites, Disnerds, or ?????New this fall: Geek Club! We will meet each month on the 3rd Tuesday night starting September 15th @ 7:00pm. This club is for Grades 7+.

Bring out your inner geek & share your fandom! Each meeting we will view trailers, discuss the latest news on recent TV, movies, & books based on a different theme as well as enjoy fun activities & snacks! Geek on!

 

 

 

 

Wizards at Hogwarts Movie Marathon August 20 and August 21

Wizards at Hogwharryarts Movie Marathon August 20th 8am – 8pm and August 21st 8am – 5pm. Two Glorious Days of Hogwarts!
…with Rankings / Time Lapse (we’ll vote)  …with costumes (wear one!)
…with food (bring something to share: HP-Themed food is a bonus!)
…bring your own pillows, blankets, sleeping bags to set up camp
NOTE: Your admission price is food to share; please be sure to bring something for everyone! Thank you! No age restriction, but keep in mind that some of the films are rated PG-13. Please contact the youth department for more information!

This once-a-month group meets in the room of requirement to do Harry Potter-related crafts, eat HP-related foods, watch movies, discuss books, do read-alouds, have trivia nights, read and/or write fanfic…whatever we can think up related to the Wizarding World! I assure you, it will be a blast!

School Early Release Day Program Wednesday April 8th

SchooMaleficentl has Early Release on  Wednesday April 8th. We will be showing a movie in the Community Room. The Wednesday movie we usually show for adults has been selected for the early release so that our youth can attend. Join us for popcorn, juice, and a movie!! Shows begin promptly at 1:00 P.M. Today’s movie is rated PG and runs for 97 minutes.

This film explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic Sleeping Beauty and elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone.She cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. She realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever. Stars Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning.
