Feasting with Literature
May 23 @ 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Think about all the times you have been engrossed in the pages of a novel. You join the character and become part of the scene. You are lost in your novel for hours when the author inserts a snack, a meal, or a culinary description and your mouth begins to water. Wouldn’t you love to know what the characters are tasting? Join the Creative Feast’s Liz Barbour for a delicious exploration of her favorite recipes discovered hidden in novels that she has read. Featured books include: Blood, Bones and Butter, A Year in Provence, As Always Julia, and Where the Sidewalk Ends.
Following Liz’s discussion will be a cooking demonstration and sampling of two recipes. Add in Liz’s easy cooking technique tips and you are on you way to creating meals you can prepare at home.
Join us for this lively and engaging event at the Rye Public Library on Wednesday, May 23 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. Please call 964-8401 to register for this program. All programs are free and open to the public.
