Summer Reading 2022

We’re excited to announce our summer reading program! Oceans of Possibilities is the national summer reading theme this year, and the library staff is ready to dive into this adventure with you. Similar to last year, we’re using Beanstack for all summer reading registration. The Beanstack site is live, and you can pre-register now by clicking here! We have some amazing raffles going on this summer. Prizes include a sweet tooth basket, a stack of YA books, a stack of picture books, gift cards and more! Attending programs, completing weekly trivia, reading books, and writing book reviews will earn you tickets for the prize drawings. The more you participate, the more tickets you earn!

We will be hosting outdoor and indoor programs this summer. We’re working hard to provide your favorite programs from previous years and new programs for you to enjoy. Starting every Monday, trivia will be made available on Beanstack, and in-house crafts will be available in the youth department. Every Tuesday—weather permitting—we’ll be hosting drop-in Chalk Art & Popsicles where youth can enjoy a cool treat. Other programs will include tie-dying shirts, story time, soap making, Lego building, Pokémon nights, Wildlife Encounters, and many more. Our Summer Reading Kick-off event is on Wednesday, June 29th with a performance from Magic Fred! Be sure to check our website and Beanstack for a full list of programs. Please note that many of our programs require registration. You can register for all of our programs by visiting our website ryepubliclibrary.org.

A VERY BIG thank you to the Friends of the Rye Public Library for sponsoring our summer reading program. If you see a Friend, be sure to thank them!
