The book club is returning, but it will look different from our typical in-person meeting – at least for now. We’ll be meeting virtually, which will be a huge difference! New members are welcome!
Once registered, we will email you the Zoom link and login credentials.
To make sure everyone can participate and have access to the book, I’m using the library’s Hoopla resource. If you don’t already have that set up, you can call the library (964-8401) or email the library at this address (email@example.com) to get started. Hoopla is an easy-to-use resource and can be used on your phone, laptop, iPad, or desktop computer. We’d be happy to get you started, so let us know if you need help.
A little more about Hoopla: All the books, movies, and audio books you can find in this resource are always available – there are never any holds! I chose our first virtual book club title that Hoopla itself is featuring for their book club pick:
- To start, get your free Hoopla account set up and download the e-book or the audio book; it’s available in both formats. Of course, you may also purchase the book on your own if you prefer a print copy, but try out Hoopla – it’s wonderful!
We’ll “meet” on Friday, May 29th @ 1:00 PM Eastern to discuss the book. I’ll be posting the link on our FaceBook page, and will also include the link in our weekly Booster email, so you’ll have multiple options to find it.
Whether you call or join through Zoom, I request that you sign-in around 15 minutes early to work out any connection issues, so plan to get on the call or video at 12:45 PM on May 29th.
NOTE: This is a pilot program, so please be patient as we work out the “bugs.”
Thank you, and I hope you can join me!
Sending all the best to each of you,
Rye Public Library
