INSTRUCTIONS FOR READING AN ARTICLE IN EBSCO ONLINE

The Rye Public Library uses Ebscohost for our primary database collection. You can find access to all of our available databases below. If you are in the library you will automatically be logged in. If you are accessing our databases remotely you will need your Library Card Number.

MasterFILE Premier
Provides full-text magazines, reference books and primary source documents. It also includes an extensive image collection containing photos, maps and flags. Great for those who want that “classic” research experience.

Professional Development Collection
Highly specialized database of full-text electronic information especially for educators, professional librarians and education researchers. 

TOPICsearch
Provides resources to explore social, political and economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics discussed in today’s classrooms.

ERIC
The Education Resources Information Center is an authoritative database of indexed and full-text education literature and resources. Sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences of the U.S. Department of Education, it is an essential tool for education researchers of all kinds.

Magazine subscriptions available to view online. Catch up on articles from popular periodicals such as “The New Yorker”, “National Geographic”, and more, from your own device.

Newspaper Source
Provides cover-to-cover full text for hundreds of national, international and regional newspapers. In addition, it offers television and radio news transcripts from major networks.
